In the south-west area, near the municipalities of Palombara Sabina and Marcellina there is the "mediterranean stain" formed by leccio, orniello and roverella with trees of fillirea, mirto, lentisco, cisto, terebinto, togheter other several typical Lucretili plants such as storace, "Giuda's tree" and carpino.
On the western Monte Gennaro slopes, there are forests composed mainly of leccio, higher up there are large beech that upon Monte Gennaro have a large size.
Of particular interest it's the presence of some species of native orchids.
